PEDIATRIC PODOLOGY:
Prevention is the best investment in children's future.
- There are forms and gestures that self-correct as we grow, and so, once we know them, we only need to monitor and compare their correct development.
- Others, however, don't. Diagnosis and treatment as early as possible allow for planning a course of treatment that promotes change and, therefore, a better biomechanical future for the child as they grow.
- Supporting development: The constitution that emerges from the combination of bone size, joint flexibility, and muscle strength and elasticity is unique to each child. Knowing these characteristics is very positive when making decisions about the physical activity and sports they are predisposed to. Knowing which ones will be contrary to each child's nature, and therefore pose a risk to balanced growth, or which will be a repetitive source of injury, with subsequent consequences in adulthood, allows for better decision-making.
